A Year of FIRST

I have been working on Cooper’s baby book and it is reminding me of all the wonderful things Cooper experienced for the FIRST time throughout his first year….

FIRST family picture

This picture was taken right after Cooper was born.  One of the best moments of my life.

FIRST Airplane Ride

When Cooper was only 6 weeks old he took his first plan ride to Colorado.  Cooper slept the entire flight and we had the best time celebrating the 4th of July with family!

FIRST Sacrament

At the end of July, everyone came to Arkansas for Cooper’s baptism. It was such a special day and we felt so blessed to share it with so many people we love.

FIRST Football Season

Cooper’s first football season also happened to be the most successful season Oklahoma State has ever had…I think he brought the cowboys good luck! Go Pokes!!!

FIRST Halloween

He didn't get to enjoy any candy, but wasn’t he just the cutest pumpkin ever!

FIRST Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Colorado with my family.  We cooked a feast, relaxed, and watched Cooper crawl all over the place!

FIRST Christmas

Christmas 2011 consisted of a 10 day road trip and 4 states.  We spent a few days in OKC before we headed to Borger to spend Christmas with the Braden’s.  Cooper loved spending his first Christmas at Nana & Pop’s house with all of his cousins.  Then we went to Colorado and spent New Year’s in the mountains with Gaga & Grandpa. Spending the holidays with both of our families was definitely worth all the hours in the car.

FIRST Easter

We spent Cooper’s first Easter in OKC.  He loved his first Easter basket and after a weekend of watching his cousins run around Cooper was walking like a pro.

FIRST Move

In April, we moved from Arkansas to League City, Texas.  Cooper loved exploring the new house while it was empty.  He never missed a beat and adjusted to the new house/city gracefully.

FIRST Trip to the Ocean

One of the perks of moving to League City is that we are only about 30 minutes away from Galveston.   Cooper loved his first trip to the beach.  He had so much fun exploring the sand and hanging out in the water with his daddy.

FIRST Birthday

And finally on May 27 Cooper celebrated his first birthday!  What a whirl wind his first year was.  I have loved every minute of it.
